Thinking big, implementing fast and disruptively moving the market - this is what BurdaForward (including FOCUS Online, CHIP, BUNTE, TV Spielfilm, Finanzen100) achieved with the largest digital finance day in Germany. For one day, 27 financial experts on three stages gave the more than 5,000 participants valuable tips on pensions, real estate and shares and also answered individual financial questions live. By publishing the most exciting video excerpts of the presentations, FOCUS Online was able to reach an additional 100,000 people with the day's content.

BurdaForward pushes financial education for Germany

The Burda subsidiary has already organised more than 17 webinars, including a financial week explicitly geared to the questions and information needs of women. The aim: to enable people to organise their financial investments and old-age provision in a self-determined and future-proof manner.

Just over six months ago, we entered an unfamiliar market with webinars and developed a completely new business segment. Digital conferences are becoming more and more the norm with Corona. If we manage to bring the social exchange of an offline conference into the online world, we can be the game changer for an entire industry.“
Daniel Steil, Chief Content Officer at BurdaForward

Job-to-be-done study as basis

BurdaForward is no stranger to breaking new ground in the financial sector and thus ensuring spontaneous success. With the format "René wants yield", for example, the digital experts make financial know-how available via YouTube videos in a format that is easy to understand for everyone. There are already almost 16,000 followers on this channel. "René will Rendite" is a format that was created after a job-to-be-done study for the financial sector and that pays off especially on the job of "creating trust".

The online financial day was even faster: Just three months passed from the initial idea to the complete implementation. Just like in a self-organised start-up, each member of the team contributed his or her own skills - from the acquisition of speakers, the technical implementation of the live format, the moderation to the marketing measures and finding sponsors. Six well-known companies invested their advertising budgets in the innovative live format for people interested in finance.

Here you can see that we create real added value for the user. This is exactly what BurdaForward has set itself as its goal. We step in where other systems fail and thus help people to lead a better life.“

BurdaForward Communications

For more than eight years I have been writing texts about our company and our brands, organising trade fairs, talking to journalists and being chronically in far too many meetings. Whether at home or in the office - it doesn't get boring and sometimes I just put out the fire. If not, then I am most likely to be met in the mountains, with my daughter on the Isar or in my home country and the most beautiful city in the world: Hamburg.
