Carsten Fiedler strengthens new editorial board - chaired by Florian Festl

With a joint BurdaForward editorial board chaired by Florian Festl (editor-in-chief FOCUS online), BurdaForward is intensifying the journalistic cooperation between our digital brands. The publisher is bringing Carsten Fiedler (53) on board as a further editor-in-chief within the new commitee.
On November 1, Fiedler, currently Editor-in-Chief of the Kölner Stadt-Anzeiger, will join BurdaForward. Carsten Fiedler's area of responsibility will produce extensive and deeply researched political and social content such as reports, commentaries and analyses for the Burda subsidiary's major digital brands. He will also be responsible for the further development of critical-constructive journalism at FOCUS online and the new climate brand FOCUS online Earth.

Bundling of editorial management under the leadership of Florian Festl
Parallel to the start of Carsten Fiedler, BurdaForward is dovetailing the editorial management level even more closely. The newly formed BurdaForward Editorial Board will manage and be responsible for BurdaForward's news, background and opinion reporting across brands. The board will be led by Florian Festl, who will chair the editorial board in addition to his role as FOCUS-online editor-in-chief. In addition to Festl and Fiedler, Alina Bähr (Editor-in-Chief of Bunte.de) and Niels Held (Editor-in-Chief of CHIP.de) will also be part of the new board.
