10 hours "on air": Work-Life-Day inspires BurdaForwarder
Inspiration, entertainment, knowledge transfer, relaxation, networking - and all that away from the daily business routine. With the Work-Life-Day on February 25, 2021, BurdaForward dedicated a 10-hour live program to its own colleagues. Colleagues, artists, athletes, coaches and celebrities such as Peter Maffay, Tim Mälzer, Fabian Hambüchen and Jan Frodeno created 17 colorful sessions around the topic of work-life balance.
BurdaForward strengthens its position as a digital publisher
With a reach of 45 million unique users and 33 million magazine readers per month, Hubert Burda Media is one of the largest providers of journalistic content in Germany. Together, Burda Media reaches almost 75 percent of the German population aged 16 and over.
KidsForward: How parents support each other in the Corona period
For many parents, childcare and work at the same time is an immense challenge in times of the permanent home office. At BurdaForward it soon became clear: we not only have to show understanding for this exceptional situation, but also support it.
Constructively through the crisis
In April BurdaForward reached more than 41 million unique users for the second time in a row - that is two thirds of all German online users. With the highest-reach news service FOCUS Online and a strong platform of user-centred special interest portals, we are supporting the corona crisis with reliable reporting.
How virtual meetings work better
Just under two weeks ago, all of BurdaForward was relocated from our offices in Germany and Italy to several 100 small home offices in order to protect colleagues from infection with the corona virus and prevent it from spreading. This measure came as no surprise, and yet a few challenges lurk in the home office - such as holding meetings.
80th birthday of Hubert Burda in Munich
The publisher Hubert Burda celebrated his 80th birthday on Monday at the Group's location in Arabellastraße. Hundreds of employees and numerous guests of honour, including the Bavarian Minister President Markus Söder, Munich's Lord Mayor Dieter Reiter, CSU honorary member Edmund Stoiber, actor Fritz Wepper, composer Eberhard Schoener and former McKinsey boss Herbert Henzler celebrated this special day with Burda.
Hack, Hack, Hurra!
Was 2018 als Deutschlands größte Hacker School mit mehr als 200 Schülerinnen und Schülern in der Münchner Kunsthalle begonnen hat, setzen wir nun von Zeit zu Zeit in unseren eigenen Büroräumen fort. Gemeinsam mit der Hacker School bringen wir Kindern das Programmieren bei und bereiten sie auf die digitale Zukunft vor - denn digitale Bildung ist unsere Herzensangelegenheit.
BurdaForward goes Italy
It’s settled! We are opening BurdaForward's first international office in the Italian port city of Bari. For our market entry in Italy we are receiving support from our partner, the Fincons Group, a leading management consultancy in the IT sector with more than 36 years of experience in the international market.
Germany's largest hacker school
Shaping the future with digital know-how: The technology and consumer portal CHIP has taken its 40th anniversary as an opportunity to organize the largest hacker school in Germany. Around 200 students spent a day in Munich learning about the world of bits and bytes. They were guided by the Hamburg Hacker School and forty software developers from BurdaForward.
