Martin Lütgenau, Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer of BurdaForward, is leaving the company amicably and at his own request on 31 March 2024. For more than 20 years, the digital manager has very successfully led the marketing business of the Burda subsidiary, which includes brands such as FOCUS online, CHIP, BUNTE.de and TV Spielfilm, in various managing director positions.
Martin Lütgenau says of his decision: "Leaving BurdaForward after more than twenty years is not easy for me. I have decided to do so after a serious stroke of fate that has affected my family and me. In this challenging phase, I will now take enough time for my children and also to come to terms with my personal situation. I would like to thank Burda for the many years in which I have always been given responsibility and trust. I am now saying goodbye with the fulfilling feeling of having shaped and developed digital publishing and advertising at Burda together with many great people over a long period of time."
Tanja zu Waldeck expresses her appreciation and gratitude to Lütgenau: "Without Martin Lütgenau, this company would not be what it is today. Hardly anyone in the industry has been able to match his experience and marketing expertise. He will leave a huge gap within BurdaForward, both professionally and personally. On behalf of the entire management team, I would like to thank Martin for his achievements, which have given this company enormous reach, relevance and importance in the market. We wish him and his family every strength and all the best for everything that Martin is now taking on."
Lütgenau's career at Burda began in 2002, following senior marketing positions at AC Verlag, ARBOMedia AG and MSN Microsoft, where he took over as Managing Director.
