BurdaForward COO Philipp Brunner (46) has decided to leave the company on June 30, 2024.
As CEO of CHIP, Brunner has been part of the management team of the Burda subsidiary since 2018 and in this role, has been responsible for the CHIP Group's online and print business. Between 2020 and 2023, as CFO of BurdaForward, he was responsible for Finance and M&A as well as other operational teams. Since January 2024, he has been responsible for the operating business as COO.
Under Philipp Brunner's leadership, the brand CHIP.de developed into Germany's largest digital consumer information service, which today serves more than 23 million people per month. Philipp Brunner also founded a successful start-up, the electric mobility portal EFAHRER.com, which is now one of the top 3 car portals in Germany with more than 5 million users per month.

Brunner's professional career began as a strategy consultant, first at Roland Berger and later at Oliver Wymann. Before starting his career at CHIP, the graduate in financial and business mathematics worked for seven years at Vodafone Kabel Deutschland GmbH, where he was responsible as Vice President for all fixed network products (TV / broadband internet) on cable infrastructure for end customers.
