Mission Female X BurdaForward: Together for empowerment and equal rights

by Eva Schuler
Since March 2022, women have been publishing their knowledge on the topics of careers, entrepreneurship, networking and digital in weekly specialist articles on BurdaForward (including FOCUS online, CHIP.de, BUNTE.de). The special feature: In the texts, the women not only describe how they have made a career and founded companies - but also show relentlessly honestly what they have failed at or what taboos they have had to break.
The cooperation with "Mission Female" has shown that joint efforts can achieve a lot: This year, BUNTE.de was once again a media partner of the "X-Change" leadership event initiated by "Mission Female". Influential personalities from the worlds of business, politics, culture, media and sport gathered in Hamburg to jointly find ways to strengthen equality for women. BurdaForward was also represented at the event: FOCUS online editor-in-chief Florian Festl discussed diversity in companies on a panel. BUNTE.de reported live on the event and presented the "Mission Female Award" in the "Lifestyle" category.

"Successful instead of perfect - how women really make a career"
This is the title of the new book published in May by "Mission Female" founder Frederike Probert. Together with 40 co-authors from the network, including "Höhle der Löwen" investor Dagmar Wöhrl, "Let's Dance" star Motsi Mabuse, singer Patricia Kelly and BUNTE.de editor-in-chief Alina Bähr, she shares her personal experiences in this book. The women talk about successes, but also setbacks and challenges, and show how they have actively stood up for equality and diversity.
It has been proven that women are still more reserved in their careers than men. They hide their own successes for no good reason and are less likely to ask for a pay rise. We want to change this - also with the help of 'Mission Female'. My motto in this respect is: 'Dare, you will be seen and heard! That's why we're giving inspiring women the big stage on Bunte.de - to hopefully encourage many more."“
