For refugee children from Ukraine: BurdaForward cooperates with the German Children's Fund

by Johanna Schallehn
Together with the German Children's Fund, BurdaForward is working to make it easier for refugee children and young people from Ukraine to arrive in Germany. The cooperation partners have joined forces to offer a point of contact as part of a major editorial initiative - both for those helping and for those seeking help. Serious and effective support options are to be made easily accessible on portals such as FOCUS Online, CHIP.de and BUNTE.de. At the same time, comprehensive information is provided about the projects of the children's aid organization in order to boost donation activities through the high reach of the portals. With the help of these, the German Children's Fund finances, for example, recreational or educational measures, psychological care, translations or school equipment - in short, everything that is needed so that children and young people can arrive in Germany as well as possible and live in a way that is suitable for children.

Refugee children are a particularly vulnerable group that needs special attention. We are pleased that we have found open ears at BurdaForward and that they are now working together to win over even more people for this great social task.“
The aim of the long-term cooperation is to make it easier for refugee children and young people to enter the German education system. For this topic, BurdaForward relies on the power of FOCUS Online, Chip.de, BUNTE.de and other in-house portals. There, the projects and opportunities for help are sorted, listed and explained editorially. In the newly created area on FOCUS Online, users can clearly find ways to provide meaningful support to families in need. At the same time, the publisher has provided an overview of contact points and help offers in a comprehensible form, which supporters of refugees and those seeking help can use themselves to plan their next steps. These will also be available in Ukrainian in the near future.
It is our humanitarian duty to help the most defenseless in this dramatic situation. As a company, we are using the strongest we have to do this: Our brands, our reach and our journalistic drive.“
The company's commitment in light of the current situation follows on from its activities as part of the "Sprungkraft - BurdaForward für Bildung" initiative founded in 2021. As a media company with great journalistic expertise and reach, BurdaForward creates greater awareness for educational justice by presenting and supporting non-profit educational organizations.
