For the first time ever, Finanzen100 tops the competitive ranking of finance portals with 5.12 million unique users in the month of July, thus banishing finanzen.net to second place with a lead of more than 700,000 unique users. In addition to CHIP and FOCUS Online, BurdaForward now has a third market leader in its portfolio.

More and more Germans are searching for stock market and financial news online rather than going to a bank branch. Financial portals are increasingly taking on the role traditionally held by bank advisors: to offer information on what is happening on the stock exchange to better inform peoples’ investment choices. According to the AGOF ranking, Finanzen100, a BurdaForward brand, is now the first portal with more than 5 million unique users.
With up-to-date tools and analyses as well as portfolio functions, the portal is primarily aimed at users who are already active on the stock exchange or have a solid knowledge of financial issues. "However, thanks to the cooperation with FOCUS Online, Finanzen100 has now also become a portal for newcomers to the stock exchange. We can now reach a much broader range of users who are interested in financial topics. That makes us very attractive for the advertising industry," explains Steil.
I am pleased that the consistent development of the product and our cross-team and cross-site work have paid off.“
It was BurdaForward CEO Oliver Eckert himself, who founded Finanzen100 in Cologne in 2009. From an early stage, he recognized the need for digital news and analyses from the financial world. "A good monthly income and financial independence in retirement are central issues in our society today," says Eckert. "Our aim is not only to provide readers with financial news. We want to help them make the right financial decisions that fit their current situation. This fits in with the solution-oriented journalism that that we live and breathe at BurdaForward."
