CHIP ePower: How CHIP.de guides you through the energy transition

Germany's largest consumer portal CHIP.de is growing: With CHIP ePower, the high-reach digital brand from BurdaForward (including FOCUS online, BUNTE.de, TV Spielfilm.de) is establishing a new contact point for all aspects of renewable energies and electromobility.

Cars, bicycles, heating systems and power supplies – everything is becoming increasingly connected. But how do I find the right e-car, e-bike, heat pump, solar system or the best electricity provider? Consumers are faced with many questions and decisions. Interest in sustainable energy, smart systems and e-mobility is greater than ever: more than 33% of respondents to a recent representative survey in Germany are planning to buy an e-car in the next two years, while more than 20% would like to purchase a solar power system.

With CHIP ePower, BurdaForward is now bringing the CHIP consumer world together with the e-mobility portal EFAHRER.com. In the seven years of its existence, the portal, which was founded in-house, has shown how much people are interested in e-mobility topics: With a reach of up to 27 million page impressions per month, EFAHRER.com played in the league of the major automotive portals. With special offers such as solar and heat pump provider tests, the e-mobility experts built up a standing in the energy market.

This strong range of topics is now being bundled under the established CHIP brand in order to tap into further growth potential. A key factor here is the close interlinking of the topics due to the increasing importance of intelligent technology in e-cars, charging technologies and home energy management systems.
