BurdaForward hits number 1 in the iTunes music charts with "Victoriam
by Sara Kiesler
The first music production from BurdaForward is a complete success. The piece "Victoriam" from the album SINFOGLESIA by the Cologne composer Christoph Siemons fought its way to first place in the iTunes music charts just a few hours after its release on Good Friday afternoon. The work, staged with orchestra and choir, supports Tafeln in Germany during the Corona crisis.
While the corona crisis has a strong impact on our lives and habits, the pandemic also manages to bring out the good in people. "Victoriam" is the music especially composed for the campaign "#CoronaCare" and is meant to give confidence in this time full of uncertainty. Under the motto "Germany helps itself", BurdaForward and FOCUS Online have brought thousands of people together in recent weeks to support each other.
After only a few hours, "Victoriam" is so successful that it storms to number 1 in the iTunes charts on Friday evening. A short time later, the work has also taken first place in the Amazon music charts.
BurdaForward and FOCUS Online use the proceeds from "Victoriam" to support charitable boards in Germany and thus also more than 1.6 million needy people who are supplied by them. The Corona crisis poses a particular challenge for the boards. Due to the economic hardship, food donations have fallen drastically. Many older volunteers also belong to a risk group.
