It’s settled! We are opening BurdaForward's first international office in the Italian port city of Bari. For our market entry in Italy we are receiving support from our partner, the Fincons Group, a leading management consultancy in the IT sector with more than 36 years of experience in the international market.

Bari: New location for technology development
Bari is particularly suitable as a technology location for BurdaForward due to the two faculties of computer science located in the city and the rapidly growing tech community in the region. From now on, a large number of software engineers will be working on the company's leading high-reach portals (including CHIP and FOCUS Online) at the new Italian product and development location. Partnering with the Fincons Group, with its strong background in digital publishing, will enable the Burda subsidiary to gain an even faster foothold on site. Fincons opened its delivery centre in Bari more than 10 years ago.
Around 20 employees will work here in the areas of product and software development. With this step, BurdaForward continues to drive its transformation into a technology and media company.
We are investing massively in new technologies, because this is the only way we can offer our users real added value on our portals. For us as a Tech & Media Company, finding software experts who can drive these innovations forward is now more important than ever. We are pleased to have found a strong partner in Fincons, who supports us competently on site in Bari, for example in the recruitment of top developers.“
Rapid growth with strong partners and new technologies
The decision to open BurdaForward’s first international office in Bari was significantly eased by the fact that the Italian Fincons Group also has a site there, where they advise their clients in the development of IT strategies and process definition. In conjunction with its clients, the company works to discover, test and implement innovative technological and organizational tools needed to focus on their core business.
Francesco Moretti, Deputy CEO of Fincons Group and CEO Fincons US, adds: "We are very pleased that BurdaForward has chosen us. This vote of confidence is a confirmation of our competence and experience in the media and publishing sector, but also consolidates our presence in the German market, where we have recently opened a site as part of our international expansion. The support of BurdaForward's strategic development through our assistance in setting up part of the business operations in Bari represents an important aspect of our work: supporting our clients in the implementation of their strategic goals and digitization.”
