Adamek, Gehrke, Petersohn join the team: FOCUS online strengthens its Berlin location

New addition to “Kontraste”: Sascha Adamek joins FOCUS online as political correspondent. Since October 2025, the journalist has been strengthening political reporting from Berlin for the news brand of Munich-based digital publisher BurdaForward. There are also other new additions to the politics and finance team at the capital city editorial office.
Until 2023, Adamek worked as senior editor for the ARD political magazine Kontraste. Most recently, he worked as a freelancer for the investigative editorial team rbb24 Recherche, among others. As an investigative journalist, author, and filmmaker, he has published numerous articles for the ARD political magazines Monitor and Kontraste, as well as political documentaries.

In addition to Adamek, political editor Christian Gehrke is joining the FOCUS online news portal in Berlin. The former head of the news team at Berliner Zeitung and Berliner Kurier has received numerous awards, including the Eckensberger Foundation's Young Journalist Award.
Hannah Petersohn is also joining the FOCUS online team as finance and business editor. The former reporter for the Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung, who specializes in investment and insurance, will also be working in Berlin in the future. She has already worked for various media outlets, such as Der Spiegel and Weser Kurier.
