A new editor-in-chief as a birthday present

In September the photo magazine CHIP FOTO-VIDEO celebrates its 15th anniversary. At the same time Moritz Wanke is promoted to Editor-in-Chief. In addition to a birthday party at the photokina photo trade fair, readers and fans can look forward to an anniversary issue with a completely revised layout.

New times under new leadership

Moritz Wanke succeeds Josef Reitberger as editor-in-chief of CHIP FOTO-VIDEO. Reitberger will remain Editor-in-Chief of CHIP and will concentrate more strongly on the core business in the future. One of Wanke's first tasks in the new position: to make the photo magazine from the CHIP brand family fit for the future. On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the brand and thus for the first time for the November issue (ET: 4.10.2018), CHIP FOTO-VIDEO is treating itself to a revision of content and design.

CHIP FOTO-VIDEO is one of the most important photo magazines on the German-speaking market. Therefore, it is a great honour for me to be responsible for the magazine together with a first-class team. At the moment there is a great upheaval in the industry. For example, traditional DSLR manufacturers like Nikon are completely reorienting themselves with their mirrorless Z-System. I look forward to accompanying this exciting time with CHIP PHOTO VIDEO and N-Photo.“
Moritz Wanke, chief editor CHIP FOTO-VIDEO

Prior to becoming editor for CHIP Online and CHIP PHOTO-VIDEO in 2013, Wanke worked for six years in the editorial department of Airmotion Verlags GmbH in Munich. Two years later he advanced to senior editor and was responsible for the content for ALPHA-Photo. Since August 2017 he has been supporting editor-in-chief Josef Reitberger in a deputy capacity for the magazines CHIP FOTO-VIDEO and N-Photo.

BurdaForward Communications

For more than eight years I have been writing texts about our company and our brands, organising trade fairs, talking to journalists and being chronically in far too many meetings. Whether at home or in the office - it doesn't get boring and sometimes I just put out the fire. If not, then I am most likely to be met in the mountains, with my daughter on the Isar or in my home country and the most beautiful city in the world: Hamburg.
