CHIP, Germany's largest technology community, is launching a new online mediation portal for electric mobility: EFAHRER.com. Under the direction of Dr. Markus Höllmüller, the portal will focus on independent, neutral vehicle comparisons, editorial consulting expertise and background reports on the trend topic of e-mobility.
Knowledge gap e-mobility
Electromobility is now a familiar concept to most of the Germans. This is shown by a representative survey among 1,000 participants, which CHIP conducted together with the market research institute Kantar TNS. 67 percent of those questioned have already heard of e-mobility, and almost half of the Germans would even test drive a car of this type. Despite the great interest, however, the study also reveals a blatant lack within the population as a whole: Only one in five feels very well informed on the subject, a full 55 percent - and thus more than one in two Germans - describe their level of knowledge as "less good".
Advisor, mediator and test authority
With the new online mediation portal, CHIP meets the need of Germans for direct experience and comprehensibly prepared information on e-mobility. On EFAHRER.com, users can not only obtain theoretical information about the topic, but also deal with practically all vehicles available in Germany. With an integrated configurator, the right car can be determined on the portal using various criteria. Once the selection is complete, interested parties have the opportunity to book a test drive directly with a partner dealer. Helpful tools such as a range calculator and an international e-gas station finder round off the service.
Höllmüller pursues mobility
As Executive Director, Dr. Markus Höllmüller will lead the business of EFAHRER.com and drive the development of additional features and functions. His goal: to provide practical tools that allow users to simulate the purchase of a vehicle and to easily fulfill their dream of owning their own electric car.
Markus Höllmüller is a proven expert in the expansion and further development of online business models. We are convinced that his enthusiasm for sustainability and electric mobility will lead our young portal EFAHRER.com to success.“
