What you can expect from us...

As a (Senior) Frontend Developer (m/f/x) you will work at the core of the BurdaForward (specially Chip, Focus Online, Fit for Fun, TV Spielfilm and Bunte.de) transactional product development. You ensure that our platform is available 24/7 and fulfills the highest engineering and quality requirements while remaining both scalable and future-proof. You will support our product team in casting great ideas into excellent code. Through your creativity and experience, you will be able to find an optimal synthesis of professional requirements and technological possibilities.

• Development of our HTML frontends, using and extending our style guide components
• Adaptation and extension of our frontend development tools
• Optimizing site performance and setting up A/B tests to achieve the best user experience for our visitors
• Close exchange with the teams from UX/VX, reaction, web analytics and sales

Our applied technologies and frameworks: PHP, Docker, AWS, Symfony, Twig, Vue.js, Terraform, Terragrunt, HTML5, CSS, JS, AMP, SASS, TypeScript, Git

What we would expect from you...

• You have a degree in computer science or a comparable, subject-related education and have already gained experience in the development of web applications
• Very good knowledge of HTML5, CSS and Javascript, ideally experience with offshoots such as AMP, SASS or TypeScript
• Solid experience with development tools such as Gulp, Webpack and NPM. Confident use of git (merge, branches)
• Experience in handling PHP, Symfony and Twig is helpful
• You have an affinity for numbers and are used to measuring the success of technical measures in business-relevant KPIs (traffic, turnover, user satisfaction)
• You enjoy contributing your own knowledge and experience
• Motivation for personal and professional development
