Join an exciting start-up within one of Germany’s largest digital publishing houses and help us bring innovative solutions to the fast-paced world of media. Our mission is to build a proprietary Content Discovery Platform for good and reliable news. Building upon state-of-the-art AI, personalized recommendations and intuitive UX, we help our users navigate the premium content of the whole BurdaForward ecosystem and discover content of all its own and 100+ partnering media brands.

• You will be responsible for analyzing product and monetization performance data to identify areas for improvement
• You join a cross-functional team organized as a start-up called WhatsNext
• You get exciting insights in machine learning as WhatsNext develops BurdaForward’s proprietary “Good News Discovery Platform”
• You collaborate with product managers, sales, and engineers to conceptualize new monetization features and to define requirements
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, product and development to identify new opportunities and create a user-friendly revenue generation plan
• You get involved in strategic and tactical decisions to shape the product roadmap

What we would expect from you...

• Relevant professional experience in areas such as digital ad products and marketing, media, eCommerce, or similar
• Experience with a marketer or technology provider in the field of yield and programmatic
• Analytical mindset to build reports, to monitor data and to make proactive recommendations for improvements
• Implementing strategies to drive revenue growth for our product
• Good project management skills to drive new initiatives
• Familiar with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel. Experience with SQL or building dashboards in Tableau is a plus
• Team player who takes responsibility and who has a positive mindset
• Very good command of English and German, spoken as well as written
